Introducing SugarWare: A Sweeter Tomorrow
Welcome to SugarWare, a sustainable lifestyle brand dedicated to reducing carbon emissions and empowering local communities through innovative sugarcane bioplastic. Founded in 2023 by a student-led team from NSU University School under Junior Achievement of South Florida, SugarWare is committed to promoting greener lifestyles with our eco-friendly kitchenware products.
Our Mission
At SugarWare, we aim to captivate consumers with our sustainable product line, which includes a sugarcane bento box, water bottle, and the “Savor and Save Set.” Our mission is to reduce our carbon footprint and inspire the world to adopt more sustainable practices.
The Impact of Sugarcane
In 2023, the United States produced 32,838 million net tons of sugar, with over 17.93 million net tons originating in South Florida. Traditional sugarcane harvesting practices, such as burning sugarcane leaves, generate significant pollution, disproportionately affecting low-income communities near the fields. This practice not only harms people but also contributes to climate change, with each burning event producing over 3,955 pounds of CO2.
Why Sugarcane Bioplastic?
Sugarcane bioplastic is a game-changer. By using this innovative material, we create products that are not only durable and practical but also environmentally friendly. Our kitchenware helps mitigate the negative impact of traditional sugarcane harvesting methods, offering a sustainable alternative that benefits both people and the planet.
Join us at SugarWare and be part of the solution. Together, we can create a sweeter tomorrow.
